Director Of Photography / Camera Operator

I am currently working as a Cinematographer and Camera Operator in the Los Angeles area. My resume includes lighting for a variety of genres and I can operate Steadicam, handheld and sticks to help tell the story. I have over 2 decades of experience in the film industry, the most recent 12+ years behind the camera as a Cinematographer / Camera Operator (includes one year of Steadicam) and prior to that 8 years as an assistant editor (left the Local 700 Editors Guild in 2011).

GEAR

I care more about pushing the boundaries of the story to create a visual texture rather than picking up a big paycheck or shooting on the latest camera. Being older than most Cinematographers who answer ads on job sites, my priorities are different. That is why I work for a stipend.

I can bring a 6K Camera (Blackmagic or RED) or use a camera that production supplies. No matter the camera you select, I will also bring (at no extra cost) the following:

Full EF mount lens kit (mix of modern and vintage) that shoots Spherical or 2x Anamorphic
Mattebox with ND and Diffusion Filters (Includes Rods)
Tripod (Maximum Height: 80" / Minimum Height: 10")
Steadicam Rig ***
Portable 5 foot Mini Jib Arm with 240lbs Load Tripod ***
